2025 BOARD OF EDUCATION ELECTION

The regular biennial school board director election to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Election Information

• Position: Woodland Park School District Board Director

• Number of Seats: 3

• Length of Term for Each Seat: 4 years

Director Districts

• District B [must reside within the attendance boundaries of WPSD Re-2] - (Four-Year Term)

• District D [must reside within either Precinct 2, 3, 6, 10, 14, or 1/4 of Precinct 1] - (Four-Year Term)

• District E [must reside within either Precinct 7, 11, or 3/4 of Precinct 1; or 2/3 of Precinct 4] - (Four-Year Term)

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Candidate must be a Woodland Park School District Re-2 resident and a registered voter for at least twelve (12) consecutive months before the election. The person must be a resident of the director district in which he or she is a candidate.

• No person who has been convicted of a sexual offense against a child is eligible to serve on the school board.

• A person who desires to be a candidate for school director shall file a written notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least 50 eligible electors who are registered to vote in the regular biennial school election with the district's Designated Election Official in accordance with the law.

Important Dates to Remember

August 6, 2025 

• Nomination petitions may be obtained through Candace Blake, Designated Election Official, at 155 Panther Way. Office hours are 7:30

  a.m. to 3:30 p.m. By appointment preferred.

• A candidate for the office of school district director may circulate a nomination petition. No petition shall be circulated prior to this date. [C.R.S.§§1-4-803(1)(b); 22-31-107(2)].

August 29, 2025

• Last day for school director candidates to file a nomination petition with circulators’ notarized affidavit, a notarized acceptance of nomination, and written notice of intent to be a candidate. [C.R.S.§§1-4-803(2); 22-31-107(2)]

• Completed petition(s) are due by 3:30 p.m. to the School Designated Election Official. Must be notarized prior to submission.

• Last day to file an affidavit of intent to run as a write-in candidate. [C.R.S.§§1-1-106(5); 1-4-1102(2)]

September 4, 2025 2:00 p.m. - Name Lot Drawing

• District Office Large Conference Room located at 155 Panther Way, Woodland Park, CO 80863

• The official drawing to establish the order of the candidates' names on the ballot. Candidates are welcome to attend the drawing, but it is not required.
