On Wings of Eagles

Honoring those who soar above and beyond for the students of Woodland Park

WHAT IT IS

A Recognition Born from Community

The On Wings of Eagles Community Recognition Program was established by the Woodland Park School District Board of Education to formally honor individuals and organizations whose extraordinary contributions inspire students across our campuses.

Just as the eagle soars above all others — with vision, courage, and strength — our honorees rise above and beyond the ordinary to lift students in their pursuit of excellence, responsibility, and civic duty.

Established in 2026, this program reflects our community's deepest values: that it takes every one of us to nurture the next generation.

Academic Excellence

Inspiring students to reach their full intellectual potential.

Personal Responsibility

Modeling integrity, accountability and character.

Civic Duty

Fostering active, engaged members of our community.

Multi Campus Impact

Touching the lives of students across multiple schools.

Kimberly Founds

Director, House of David Music Center

"We are in this together. When we all take part, our students are inspired and begin to see that they can do great things—even something as simple as playing a little piano can spark that confidence. We’re looking forward to our next event on May 30, where more students will have the opportunity to share and be inspired. Thank you so much for seeing us." - Kimberly Founds

Mrs. Founds and her team at the House of David Music Center trained 47 students from Summit, Columbine and Ute Pass Elementaries, Colorado Springs Christian School and Merit Academy to play instruments for a Showcase Fundraiser recital. Each school's music program received $100, and students are now preparing a second fundraiser to support 61 future scholarship recipients.
