Our students had an incredible experience participating in the Festival of the Winds Honor Band at CSU Pueblo! This festival enriched every student’s musical journey through small group rehearsals and masterclasses with CSU Pueblo applied faculty.
Participants also enjoyed outstanding performances by CSU faculty and students, the Pikes Peak Brass Band, and the Air Force Academy Band. Nearly 360 band students from across the region came together to perform in a powerful culminating concert!
🎉 Congratulations to these 10th graders:
Layne Hoffstatter
Evie Rohman
Sarah Walma
Alexis Bateman
We are so proud of your hard work and musicianship! 👏🎵

Thank you for inspiring our students and helping them explore their futures! 💚

Astronaut and Woodland Park High School alumna Nichole Ayers will be visiting Woodland Park next week on February 19!
While in the area on military orders, Nichole has graciously carved out time in her schedule to return home and spend the morning at Woodland Park Jr./Sr. High School with our 7th–12th grade students and staff. What an incredible full-circle moment for our Panther community!
This special visit will give our students the opportunity to hear firsthand about her journey from WPHS graduate to astronaut, the dedication it takes to pursue big dreams, and the limitless possibilities that await them. Having one of our own achieve such extraordinary accomplishments is a powerful reminder to our students that their goals — no matter how ambitious — are within reach!
We cannot wait to welcome Nichole home and celebrate this remarkable moment with our Panthers! 🌟

📣 On February 10, at the District Office, we proudly swore in Robb Davidson as Woodland Park School District’s newly appointed Board of Education Director.
Mr. Davidson was selected following an interview process conducted by the current Board members. We are grateful for his willingness to serve our students, staff, and community in this important role.
Mr. Davidson worked as a civilian with the U.S. Air Force for 35 years. Following his retirement, he volunteered with the Pikes Peak Business and Education Alliance, helping connect local students with businesses for internship opportunities.
Both of his children are proud graduates of WPSD and are now teachers at Woodland Park Jr./Sr. High School.
Director Davidson shared that he will prioritize stabilizing relationships, encouraging hope, and advancing excellence across the district.
👏 Please join us in welcoming Mr. Robb Davidson to the WPSD Board of Education. 💚
🔔 Join us tonight for the Board of Education Regular Meeting beginning at 6 pm at the District Office.

These talented singers auditioned and were chosen to represent our school among the best vocalists in the state. They participated in last week’s festival in Denver alongside students from across Colorado, culminating in a spectacular concert at the Buell Theatre.
We are so proud of your hard work, dedication, and outstanding achievement! 👏🎤🎼

In a student-led class, Nora Scicluna challenged her classmates with a team-building activity where teams had to complete a task without talking and using only one hand. The result? Some very creative structures and clever strategies! 🧠🤝
To top it off, students are also designing their 2026 Vision Boards, setting goals and dreaming big for the year ahead.
Great leadership, teamwork, and creativity on display! 🌟

Through this project, students are practicing resource management, budgeting, teamwork, planning, and applying basic physics concepts like gravity and motion.
Engineering in action!

The students successfully launched their rockets, observed and recorded flight data, and will now return to the classroom to analyze their results.

💚 What a fantastic way to start the day! Woodland Park School District and district leadership were thrilled to reconnect with local community leaders at this morning’s Community Connections meeting! The conversation was energizing, meaningful, and long overdue—and it left us excited about what’s ahead!
🫶Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared ideas, insight, and a genuine commitment to our students, staff, and community. To those who couldn’t attend, we can’t wait to connect with you soon. WPSD is proud to be strengthening partnerships and building momentum alongside our local leaders!
🌟Those who attended but are not pictured include representatives from Community Partnership, the Woodland Park City Manager, and our elementary and Jr./Sr. High School principals.
☀️The future is bright for WPSD and all of Teller County—and we’re just getting started!

🔥What a night at home! Senior Cheyenne Becker earned her 100th career win at our home tri on 1.14.26—a huge accomplishment and the first in Woodland Park wrestling history on the girls’ side. We are so proud of Cheyenne and the hard work she’s put in to reach this milestone.
👏We’re also incredibly proud of all our wrestlers and the season they’re having, with several athletes placing at Metros this past weekend.
Catch them back at home next Wednesday, January 28, at 4:30 pm.
Go Panthers! 🐾

A special thank you to our speakers and performers for doing a fabulous job creating a meaningful program that truly honored our veterans. 💙❤️

WPHS Aerospace Engineering students are taking flight—literally! 🚀 Using advanced computer software, they’ve designed balsa wood gliders optimized for maximum aerodynamics.
Now, it’s time to put their designs to the test in a friendly competition to see whose plane soars the farthest! 🛩️💨

Our Woodshop students put their creativity and craftsmanship to the test by designing and building CO₂-powered cars from scratch. After weeks of sanding, shaping, and assembling, they hit the track to see whose car could claim the title of fastest on the course! 🚀💨
Hands-on learning meets high-speed fun — great job to all our student engineers!

Our teams hit the court yesterday in their first games of the season against Florence. The C-Team battled hard, falling by just a couple of points, while the B-Team came out on top with a narrow win. The A-Team put up a strong fight but fell short by 8.
💚We’re proud of their effort and look forward to seeing their growth this season!

Mrs. Spornak’s 7th–8th Grade Theater Performance class has been hard at work adapting Dr. Seuss’s The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins into a short play — and today’s the big day! 🎩✨
They’re performing their original adaptation for students at Summit and Columbine Elementary Schools, under the direction of 12th grade Teacher Cadet Sawyer Kettler.
Bravo to our young performers and director for bringing this classic story to life! 👏🎬

From measuring and cutting to sanding and finishing, students learned the value of precision and patience while creating something practical for everyday use.
Proud of the craftsmanship and creativity on display — these key holders aren’t just projects, they’re keepsakes!
