Congratulations to our incredible Jr. High and Summit Elementary Destination Imagination (DI) teams for their performance at the state competition on April 11th! Their hard work and creativity earned 4 out of our 5 teams a chance to represent the state of Colorado and Woodland Park at the Global Finals in Kansas City, MO, May 21–25, 2026—where they’ll connect with and compete against students from around the world!
Destination Imagination (DI) is more than a competition—it’s an innovative program that brings STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) to life. Through collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, students tackle open-ended challenges and develop real-world problem-solving skills that will serve them far beyond the classroom.
The four teams that placed at the state competition and are now heading to the Global Finals are composed of both Summit Elementary and Jr. High School students:
• The DI Doodlers (Fine Arts – 1st Place)
• The Perfect Pair (Improvisation – 1st Place)
• Dexterous Unique Magical Brainiacs (Science – 2nd Place)
• DI Storm Strikers (Fine Arts – 3rd Place)
