I am a science teacher at Woodland Park High School in Woodland Park Colorado. I teach Chemistry, AP Chemistry and Astronomy-Earth Science. I have been teaching at WPHS since 2006.
Previously I taught at Eaglecrest High School in Aurora Colorado for 15 years. There, I was a part of a great faculty that was successful in reaching many young people. I have been teaching since 1986 and am still excited about what I am doing as an educator.
This web page is designed primarily for my students. On it I plan to post assignments, notes, and other useful itesm so that they can get the most out of their education.
I am a competitive triathlete and have competed at all distances of triathlon. In 2003 I completed an Ironman Triathlon in Florida (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run). Here are some pictures of me in a few races.

Teaching Awards and Such:
In 2003 I received a prestigious award: I won the Presidential Award For Science and Math Teaching. The award is given to the outsanding Science and Math teacher in each state. In the Spring of 2003 I spent a week in Washington DC where I was given the award. All the awardees from around the country were given a short reception in the White House.
