On January 25, 2023 the Board of Education appointed Mick Bates to Board Director District A - At Large. He will take the oath of office at the February 8, 2023 meeting.

The deadline to apply for the Director District A Vacancy was January 13, 2023. We received three letters of application, and they have met the requirements to be considered. The applicants are: Mick Bates, Seth Bryant, and Don Zaleski. All three will interview with the Board of Education on January 25, 2023.

PUBLIC NOTICE

At the December 7, 2022 Special Board Meeting of the Board of Education, a resolution declaring one (1) Director Vacancy was approved. Chris Austin, Director District A (At-Large), submitted his resignation to the Board of Education which was accepted at the Special Board Meeting held on November 30, 2022.

Letters of intent/application are being accepted for Director District A (At-Large). Letters should include a statement of experience, abilities, accomplishments, and an overview of the candidate’s background. Appointment for vacancy will be until November 2023.

Individuals eligible to apply for the vacancy must be registered voters in Teller County and residents within the boundaries of the Woodland Park School District Re-2 school attendance area.

Letters of application may be emailed or mailed, but must be received NO LATER THAN: Friday, January 13, 2023.
