   Greetings Columbine community!
We are approaching Parent-Teacher Conferences and wrapping up the third quarter.  It is truly hard to believe that we are at the door of the Spring Break.
We finished STAR progress monitoring this week, and the classroom teachers are preparing to share the results with you at the conferences.
Have a restful weekend, and I look forward to seeing you on Monday.
Kind regards,
Veronica Wolken, Principal

We are launching our first monthly dinner on Friday, March 16, 5:30 – 6:30 pm.  Our main goal is to share a meal and welcome interesting and engaging activities that are available to our children.  The idea of the dinners with free childcare is to provide an opportunity for all to feel welcome at school, to identify the areas of interest for families, and for making strong positive steps toward nurturing our community.
Come one come all!

Friday marked our last All-School Read and the last day to record reading minutes!   It has been inspiring to see all 400+  students immersed in their books, joining us after school for cocoa, and reading before school in the hallways. We hope that you and your children will continue to read as vigorously as you have the past two weeks.
Please remember to record all of the minutes the kids have read whether it was here at the school, at home, in the car, or on the bus!  We will be giving each student 2 hours of reading to account for all of the All-School-Reads, but if your kids stayed for Reading Cafe please record those minutes separately.
We are grateful for all of the parents, grandparents, friends and students who have pledged to keep Columbine a wonderful place for learning. We look forward to seeing the students’ faces as they proudly bring their reading-record envelopes back to the building by March 16th.
Thank you for supporting your kids and the Columbine community!
